Dr Ashok Jain, Ph D.


Dr Jain, Ph D in Physics is a Fellow of National Academy of Sciences, India. He spent his initial professional career in Physics research and teaching at the Universities of Delhi, Kyoto and Bristol and then shifted to Science & Technology Management and Policy analysis work in Indian Embassy, Tokyo as Science Attaché and in the Department of Science & Technology as Director in Science & Technology Promotion Division and then as Director National Institute of Science Technology and Development Studies, NISTADS of CSIR from where he retired.

He has over hundred publications in Physics and in the multidisciplinary area of Science Technology and Society Studies and has edited a number of books.

Dr Jain is associated with S&T & Innovation Policy work, besides India, in several countries of Africa, Asia and Europe with the Commonwealth Science Council, European Commission and several UNESCO.

As Honorary Vice President for Research and Academic Development at EMPI Business School he has been involved in initiating a programme ‘Mission Innovative India’ launched by Honourable Dr A. P. J. Abdul Kalam. He is also co-editing ‘Innovation: A Journal of Interdisciplinary Perspectives’.

Mr Anubhav Tewari

Anubhav has extensive corporate finance experience both in India and the US. As part of Deutsche Bank’s Investment Banking Group in New York, Anubhav has advised clients on several high profile transactions including Deutsche Boerse’s $2.8bn acquisition of International Securities Exchange, Aviation Capital Group’s (a subsidiary of Pacific Life) $2.5bn acquisition of Boullion Aviation Services, Deutsche Boerse’s $43MM investment in BSE, $164MM acquisition of Trayport by GFI Group, $7bn reverse merger of Fidelity Information Services into Certegy, $1.3bn sale of BGC Partners to eSpeed, $120MM IPO of Cardtronics, $160MM equity offering of BGC Partners and KKR’s $29bn acquisition of First Data.

Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Anubhav worked at the Large Corporate team at BNP Paribas in New York where he worked with oil & gas clients on funding strategies. He began his career in India working in the corporate finance team at RPG Enterprises with responsibilities covering project financing and M&A. Subsequent to RPG, Anubhav worked at the merchant banking group at IL&FS, a leading financial institution focused on the infrastructure space in India, where he advised clients on funding strategies for their infrastructure projects
