My Open Campus - “A free Campus Collaboration Tool that brings offline campuses online”
My Open Campus is Social Collaborative Learning through our portal and native mobile application. It is a way to get the learned and the learner to connect with each other.
Community Aided Learning – Open Campus
A major part of our Model taps into the learning of the community and the existing knowledge base of the community. The academia has been trying to create a lot of fresh content which is not required. There is already a lot of authentic and community accepted content out there. Wikipedia, YouTube, dictionary.com, IIT’s , IIM’s and much more – people have taken a lot of effort to create content. We tap into this existing pool of content and only create new content when it is not available with the community. And the best part is: the content we create goes back to the community – creating a renewable cycle of learning. We borrow from the community and we give it back.
Employability :- Need of the hour.
We want to create employable ” intelligent” students. Does our model work towards that? We definitely think so. In-fact this was one of our prime objectives. Ultimately why does a student join a college? Or pursue higher education? To become employable. To be able to get a better job. To be able to better his life.
We believe that contributing, influencing and getting recognised for your work is what build great communities. There cannot be knowledge enhancement in an isolated and restrictive environment. Enhance Education will engage all stakeholders and make learning a social activity.
In the end excellent content coupled with community based learning is what is going to create students who can think for themselves.
